The Phi Phi Islands are an island group in Thailand between the large island of Phuket and the Straits of Malacca coast of Thailand. The islands was projected in many movies including ‘The Beach’. Ko Phi Phi Don is the largest and most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Le are visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Nai, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The islands are reachable by speedboats or long-tail boats most often from Krabi town or from piers in Phuket Province.
Currently Phi Phi Islands are open only for domestic tourists. For international tourists, island is open now with 7 + 7 scheme.

We were thinking of going to koh phi phi but not sure now. Just want to know situation at this moment. Thank you
Koh Phi Phi will have restricted entry starting from September 11, (i.e. tomorrow) for a week. However, one can enter island on 7+7 plan. Island has been subjected to COVID tracing, which may lead to temporary closure of few attractions. Suggestion is to avoid this week.
